Terms and Conditions

This application sets the terms for membership with MOPRECO. The applicant agrees to pay a membership fee, purchase electricity from the cooperative, and comply with safety standards. MOPRECO is granted access to maintain electrical installations, while the applicant is responsible for unauthorized loads and unpaid bills. MOPRECO is not liable for power supply issues. The agreement includes a data privacy consent for secure handling of personal information.

Application for Senior Citizen's Discount

To qualify for a 5% senior citizen discount on your electric bill, the electric meter must be registered in the senior citizen's name, and the household's monthly electricity consumption must not exceed 100 kilowatt-hours (kWh). The senior citizen must reside in the household and provide proof of age, citizenship, and residency when applying. The discount is granted per household, regardless of how many senior citizens live there, and it must be renewed annually​.

Application for 4P's Discount

To avail of the electricity bill discount for Non-4Ps beneficiaries (Marginalized End-Users) classified as Residential Consumers with a household electricity consumption of less than 16 kWh per month, submit a photocopy of any government-issued ID, your latest electricity bill, a completed application form (which you can obtain from your local power distribution utility, MOPRECO), and a Certificate from the DSWD. The discount rate varies: for 1-15 kWh, it is 10%; for 16 kWh, it is 5%. Submit the required documents to the main office or any collection center of MOPRECO. The validity period lasts for 3 years from the issuance of the Certification from DSWD and is renewable upon submission of a new Certification from DSWD.

Application for Non-4P's Discount(Marginalized End-Users)

Non-4Ps households in the Philippines can also qualify for an electricity bill discount under the lifeline rate program if they are considered Qualified Marginalized End-Users (QMEs). To be eligible, these households must have an income below the poverty threshold and consume less than 16 kWh of electricity per month. To apply, they need to provide a certification from their local social welfare office, along with a valid government ID and their latest electricity bill. The discount, which varies based on consumption, ranges from 20% to 100%, with the highest discounts for the lowest consumption levels. Annual renewal of the discount is required to maintain eligibility​.
